Lace Knitting with Julia Desch
This Workshop is suitable for those with basic knitting skills.
e.g. casting on/off, able to knit plain and purl stitches, count
a simple pattern. Essential materials will be provided.
The foundation stitch is Celtic Wave and how to build it into
a pattern. If time allows the second method would be using
a different approach based on Feather and Fan stitch.
Participants will have a sample to take away afterwards.

Visible Mending with Thea Batty
Creatively mend your clothing by hand and discover a lifelong skill. This invaluable workshop provides the knowledge to mend your damaged clothes in a creative and personalised style. A great way to extend the life of your favourite wardrobe items! Visible Mending is a movement developed by contemporary textile artists, creatives, and craftspeople, inspired by ancient East Asian textile practices such as Japanese Sashiko and decorative Kantha. This evolving movement now identifies as a gentle form of protesting against fast fashion and throwaway culture. Let’s stitch old things into new life and wear our mends with pride!

Beginners Crochet with Millie Furby - The Slipped Stitch Workshops
Learn how to crochet with Millie. Complete beginners welcome as well as those who need a refresher. We will be making a sample piece which can be used as a patch or a pocket on an item of clothing.
By the end of the workshop, you will have the skills and confidence to continue your crochet journey and create your own unique pieces.

A Taste of Stitched Shibori
with Annabel Wilson
An introductory two-hour class where you will create a small piece of shibori fabric with a simple design; grasses, flowers, or fish to use to decorate or repair a garment. Annabel will introduce you to the ori-nui shibori technique, the first building block for creating with shibori, plus inspire you with a brief introduction to many other ways of working with shibori.
