You will develop your skills in button-making under Anna’s guidance, using a variety of materials and designs to create unique and beautiful buttons. Keep this heritage skill alive by learning how to make them.

Visible Mending and Felt Bead Making

Hawkers Re-Creatives will be leading a drop-in workshop of visible mending and felt bead making. Bring along an item of clothing that needs mending or make a patch to take away. Learn how to repair and enhance a damaged garment with darning and felting techniques. Whether you’re a beginner or an experienced sewer, this class is perfect for anyone wishing to add a personal touch to their wardrobe while reducing waste and extending the life of their clothing.

Alpaca fleece has been made into felt balls ready for you to decorate with embroidery stitches or crochet and turn into beads or buttons. Use your imagination and creativity to make something useful from waste fibre.

With nearly two decades of experience, Laura’s journey began designing for the renowned ‘One Vintage’ brand in London’s Notting Hill. Immersed in the vibrant energy of Portobello Market her love for vintage treasures ignited, shaping her passion for ethical and sustainable design.

From her Dorset studio, Laura meticulously crafts garments by hand, infusing them with the beauty and nostalgia of vintage textiles. With every stitch, she weaves stories of history and heritage, inviting us to celebrate the past while shaping a sustainable future.

Anita of Kit and Kaboodle will be offering an intermediate level
crochet workshop, she is passionate about sharing her knowledge and experience. This stitch can be used to make scarves, shawls and blankets.

If you have some experience of crochet but would like to improve your technique and learn a new stitch in a friendly and supportive environment, this workshop is for you.
